My neighbor has her cat clipped like this on purpose several times a year -- saves on hairballs. He does look like a black lion after each clip.

You know it's funny but dogs don't seem to care how funny you make them look, but cats seem to know when they're being humiliated.

My mother does the same thing to her 15 year old, 20 lb pile of mush she calls a cat.

It's disgusting.

And hysterical.

And it does eliminate the hairball problem...along with that uppity kitty cat attitude
