Don't under estimate the power of free elections as flawed as they may have been in this case. Once the seeds of freedom and liberty are planted it will continue to grow and flourish even though a short term retrograde into a semi-police state may occur in the mean time.

Anyway, so far we (we being the side of freedom and liberty) now have Poland, Hungary, Romania, Czech Republic, etc. out from under the iron fist of the former Soviet Union and today's Russia. Freedom and liberty will eventually win out in the Ukraine because it's a normal and natural feeling to live free.
