Thats the nice thing about competetive shooting. I know what I can do and I know what the rest can do because its all right there in black and white at the end of the day.
And one thing I have learned is that the people who are full of talk regarding their expertise in the morning are generally the ones full of excuses at the end of the day when the scores are tallied.
Usually someone claiming to be a Marine who could shoot six inch groups at 500 meters all day long with his rack grade M-16 and 55 grain GI ball ammo back when he was in the Corp.
Ah, can you point to where I made any such outlandish claim? Most of the issue 16's were POS. Some of the newer stuff is good, but none of them have MOA accuracy. I have NEVER made any claims regarding my prowess with firearms since it is a subjective measure, dependent on the stress of the moment. I must be relatively effecient to still be among the breathing. I will allow that a large number of my USMC compatriots tend to embellish thier firearms asbility, but, again, I don't recall EVER making such a statement.
