A few months after my husband died (9 years ago) I had to go to work. United Way supports the Hospice that we had when my hubby was ill. My employer was making everyone go to the meeting that United Way was having in our plant. I said I didn't need to go as I already knew what they supported. I was very naive then. I didn't know anything, and I will never support them financially, but the Hospice was very very good.
United Way is just another layer of bureaucracy.
And a layer that supports abortion, gay groups, etc.
If the Hospice did right by you, support them.
