They've put the series on hiatus before. Thing is, right now the profits have fallen off for it for about the last four movies. So, they'll shelve it for a while...say, ten years (like last time). Then, when the technology and timing are right, the big G will once again lumber out of the ocean.

Godzilla is to Toho Ltd. like Mickey Mouse is to Disney. He's going NOWHERE, at least not permanently. Bank on it.

Yeah they did that before put Godzilla on hitaus bring him back unlike human Hollywood actors he don't need a facelift or throw diva fit in Hollywood or Tokyo
