Looks like free publicity for her. The woman is not funny at all. If it wasn't for her sexual perversions, nobody would know who she is.
I disagree. She had a pretty good stand-up gig going and then got into her sitcom before she came out. I think she's quite funny.
I disagree. She was funny before, and she is funny now. To me, anyway.
She was famous before she came out of the closet. And, she was extremely funny when she wasn't on her lesbian schtick.
Yep, you said it.
If it wasn't for her sexual perversions, nobody would know who she is.
wrong
So what? Over 200 servicemen and their families get free cruises. But I suppose you think that it would be better that they didn't get them rather than risk good press for DeGeneres?
Actually, I totally disagree. She is very funny, so long as she's not shoving her sexual preference (be nice) down other people's throats. The first season or so of her show was a riot, but then she went off on the "am I gay" thing and it wasn't funny anymore. I don't care about her sexuality, so long as she doesn't try to force it on me.
She was absolutely brilliant in Finding Nemo and it had nothing to do with her sexuality. Two plus two.
Perhaps the funniest thing to come from the whole "is Ellen gay" episode was the other gay celebrities who officially came out in support of Ellen. Nathan Lane was one of the big ones and represented all of the rest for me. It appeared that the univeral reaction when he "came out" was: "Nathan, we knew, we don't care!"
The anti-climax was hillarious.
She has tons of talent. She is very funny. And she is very nice to people. I like her.
Everyone is entitled to their opinions. I thought that she was very funny, at least her TV show was (I never saw her stand-up act) until the show began to focus on her being a lesbian.
I thought that she was terrific as the voice of Dory in "Finding Nemo."
