Things are real fishy in King County, bastion of the Demonicrats. These were 941 votes that they said the machines were unable to read because the stupid voter did things like circle their vote instead of filling in the oval with a pen. Who is to say that the vote counters didn't quickly fill in the Gregoire oval before the observers could catch the change. Other ballots they said were too damaged to feed through the counting machines. Who is to say that the ballots were damaged after the first count through the machine and then hand counted again for another vote for Gregoire? I say, if a voter cannot follow the instructions on how to vote, they have lost their chance. I say, if a vote gets damaged, they had better come up with a better way to store the ballots. Having seen them put in bags, the way I saw them as a Republican Party observer opens the way for the pretext of damage so that a vote could be counted twice in the recount effort to manufacture more votes for the Demonicrats.

The Demonicrats are willing to spend money to do hand counts. However, they want to hand count select counties that have higher amounts of Gregoire votes. This cherry picking tactic is designed to capitalize on the margin of error in Demonicrat rich counties. This, Sam Reed, our Republican reelected Secretary of State will most likely forbid. If the Demonicrats want a hand recount, they will have to fork over $700,000+ to hand count the entire state. If they do that, they will take a huge gamble. The money could be better used for such things as the U.S. Senatorial race when Maria Cant(do)well is up for reelection in two years.

My answer for what is a guarantied trip to destruction: Christine Gregoire, CONCEDE!

In my county/state, those votes are counted. We transcribe votes from ballots erroneously filled out, and from ones that look like the "dog ate it", to ballots the machines will count.

I do agree with you that people who are too stupid to follow directions shouldn't have their votes counted.

But I think we should all insist that if these damaged ballots are counted in one county, they have to be counted in all counties. Partial recounts are prejudicial by nature.

In 38 of the 39 WA counties, the net vote gain for both G & R was 208 (Kitsap had a gain of 34 votes to G). King County, which is the largest populated county, had 185 votes gained for G. I believe someone on KVI (possibly John Fund) said that this is triple what she should have received, based on the scoring in modern times.

Gregoire is standing b*tchy strong and keeps calling for a recount (of course she's referring to ballots, not votes).

A former SOS of WA State (Bruce Chapman) said that hand counts are more prone to error and fraud (as we all know).

Maria Cantwell's swing was large (they may have said the largest in WA state, not sure) and that was a 276 vote swing.

You look at the swing from all of the other counties and compare it w King (not to mention all the "found" votes and judicial preference/allowance)and King's is very large.
