I keep friends and family by asking pointed questions instead of coming out and saying what I believe. The questions lead to opening and changing their mind. Huh, never thought about that... Always in response to them bringing up the subject, not me...

Pardon me fo jumping into your convo with mlmr, but I really wish I could learn this skill. I usually get to the point where my blood pressure gets the better of me and I blow off steam LOL -- not to the point where I start using non-sequitors or ad hominems, but I get pretty scruffy. Wish I could hear a tape recording of your style.
