You've got the anti-fast food left (the ones burning down McDonald's in France, in part because of hatred of corporate America), the anti-meat crowd, etc...

The left loves to show Americans as "consuming too much while the rest of the world does without".

Meanwhile the left never takes Michael Moore to task for being morbidly obese.

You cannot change death statistics. It is still one to a customer.

You can only push the statistics around.

To these guys there is no acceptable cause of death.

I guess they want us laying in a nursing home at 90 dying of nothing.

Didn't the standard weights for obesity get readjusted?

I think they were readjusted a couple of years or so ago. Applying their new standard meant that Sylvester Stallone and Arnold Schwarzennegar are obese.

290 million people, 290 million deaths, it's all a matter of timing.

What I liked is that the height and weight for women and men is the same now. Yeah right.

Yes, the BMI (Body-Mass-Index) was arbitrarily adjusted out of the blue several years ago - and NOBODY has called them on it when they breathlessly announced in conjunction with it - that obesity had suddenly jumped by a whopping percentage. I guess I should weigh 165 pounds at 6 feet. Unfrikkin' believable.

Methinks the government is setting the groundwork for massive lawsuits against fast-food corporations - so they can soak them for several hundred billion - like they are the tobacco industry.
