Did you know that they were the first and most numerous victims of Stalin's holocaust, the "Harvest of Sorrow,"
i.e., the man-made famine of the early 1930s? It would be a historical tragedy if they were kept in the Russian orbit, especially by a stolen election.
Does it do anything to enhance Russian power to our detriment? Does this signal some new era of Russian expansionism? Is Putin a threat to Europe?
No, the Russians were the most numerous of international Communism's victims starting in 1917. Also the COmmunist-produced famine in the early 1930's killed people in the breadbasket regions in BOTH Ukraine and Russia. The Communists crushed ALL opposition, against all economic sense.
How were they the most numerous? Of the Kulaks killed 9 million from Russia, 5 million from Ukraine and 2 million from Belaruss. How were they the earliest, when the Bolshaviks held central and western Russia, Ukraine was under the rule of an anarchist who constantly switched sides. Yes, oxymoron, an anarchist who ruled a nation and had an organized army.
Amen....
