I'm not sure I understand your point about celibacy, but if you're referring to the people who think abandoning the celibacy rule for Catholic priests would help the situation, I agree with them.
If priests were allowed to marry, far fewer gay men would be attracted to the church, or at least there would be far more straight men attracted.
Gay men have been the primary abusers of youth in the church, and I'm not talking about child abusers, but abusers of young boys.
The celibacy thing is a joke anyway.
