That was a reference to the Shari'a courts in Canada.

There are no Shari'a courts in Canada.

Canada allows two private parties to have their civil dispute resolved in accordance with Shari'a law, so long as Shari'a does not conflict with Canadian law or public policy. You could also have your civil dispute resolved under Talmidic law, Chinese law or Klingon law, if you wanted to.

Would it surprise you if I told you that that has also been the case in the US for the last few decades?
