The Ring scared the absolute holy $hit out of me. I didn't sleep for three nights after it . . . every time I closed my eyes, I saw frames from that video.
A few months later, I tried to watch Ringu (the Japanese original) when Xena's Guy was out of town, and not only could I not watch it, it scared me so badly that I put the DVD in the garage.
And I do not spook easily. Scariest movie EVER.

it scared me so badly that I put the DVD in the garage. Did you remember to make a copy of it? No? Now you're gonna die!
My bad. You said garage not garbage.
I returned the DVD to Blockbuster.

I think I will pass on Ringu in that case. The Ring was bad enough. It took me a while to get those images out of my mind..
