A total of 32 bills have been unveiled by the government in this year's Queen's speech - ensuring a packed schedule in the run-up to the general election predicted for next year.

Her Majesty the Queen openned the new session of Parliament this morning. Her speech (written by the Prime Minister) contained many proposals for new legislation, including new measures for the War on Terror.
