Those American Airline employees could have been a lot more understanding and instead they chose unemployment.

American Airline should be put to public ridicule and this story needs to be front page so the public can rip them apart.

I'm flying American for Thanksgiving on a "free ticket" voucher that I got last year when I got bumped on a flight. If it wasn't for the "use or loose" voucher, I would be flying any other airline. I'm traveling lite with carry on, so no chance that they will loose my luggage. But I fully expect to be inconvenienced in some way, as that is about the only thing that American Airlines seems to excel at.

Glad that the hotel guest thanked that marine for his service by taking care of his room bill. Too bad American Airlines didn't catch a clue that this would be bad P.R. for them. You would think that the flight crew and passengers would be happy to have a Marine aboard.

From the AA Company News Paper, Customer Comments section:

I am writing to inform you of the special crew and staff on my trip back home after being deployed to Iraq with the U.S. Army. The London to Chicago crew extended themselves and their love and support for those of us who serve our country by allowing five of us to sit in First Class. They treated us like dignitaries. We are grateful for their show of kindness and support to a group of soldiers who have seen much too much of war. We salute American and your staff and again thank you for your support of our efforts to keep freedom alive. - Major P.O. III, Arlington, Texas

Seattle Airport Agent Sue Schrader noticed that 25 military
personnel would travel to DFW the following morning to return to duty. With four First-Class seats open on the flight and the approval of Customer Service Manager Jeremy Ellis, Schrader put the names of the service men and women in a hat and drew four for the First-Class seats. Then she went home and baked cookies and packaged them in gift bags for the service people who remained in Coach. The next morning, Schrader surprised and impressed not only the military personnel, but many other customers who observed this extraordinaryact of kindness. "Sue celebrated her 35th anniversary with AA in February, and she's definitely a pro at what she does," Ellis said.

He is going to learn that since 9-11 these people hink that they are gods. No matter how rude, saracastic, or incompetent they are, you can't say anything to them.

That is why I stay far from them.
