Depending on state law, that may or may not be required. Here in Michigan, for instance, farm land, and/or wooded areas bordering farm land, do not have to be fenced or posted.

The man was told he was on private property, and was asked to leave. His response was to murder 6 people. In this case, whether or not the property was posted is irrelevant.

I agree. Whether or not a Wisconsin Jury will agree is the question. I was just thinking ahead to the eventual Court Room.
