And this past weekend in Wisconsin, a Minnesota man armed with an assault weapon was arrested after five people were shot and killed after arguing over a good hunting spot. The gun the killer used, a 7.62 mm SKS semiautomatic rifle, appears to be the same type of gun used by an Alabama man to kill three Birmingham police officers last June.
It has been only ten weeks since the Federal assault weapons ban sunsetted on September 13.

At least these guys aren't as influencial as they once thought they were...
Are they suggesting that we should ban hunting?
The last time I checked, "last June" was more than 10 weeks ago. So what is their point, exactly?
Or perhaps we should just ban certain TYPES of immigrants, say those that can shoot rapid fire assault weapons...
Their influence only extends to themselves and the people they write campaign checks to.
As their numbers dwindle, along with the checks, expect to see fewer and fewer dems spouting the hardcore anti-gun line. It's political poison in most parts of the country.
We should ban hunting, guns, cars, bathtubs, knives, stairs, airplanes, sharks, cigaretts, alcohol, food, air... did I leave anything out?
It's the Brady Campaign, they want to get rid of personal ownership of firearms.
I wish the NRA's Armed Citizen was posted online for others to see...

If you explain exactly why an SKS doesn't qualify as an "assault weapon," you will piss off liberals.
It may be difficult to stop some sort of "assault weapon" legislation in Wisconsin considering our governor wrote legislation that would ban everything except single shot rifles and would ban the ammunition for all firearms. It was billed as anti-terrorism legislation.
I hunt with a semi-auto, but I don't shoot people (duh).
Make that "six" hunters dead.
Maybe the Brady Campaign wants us to use only spitballs. They still don't get the fact that Kerry lost the election. Sarah Brady ought start complaining about the illegal immigrants.

The SKS has a 10 round magazine not a 20 round like the news reprted.He was using a scope on single fire.
It wasn't on the banned list.
Fire power not much different than a lever action Winchester 30.30.
I have hunted with a British Mk4 .303 with a 10 round magazine.
Nothing special about the weapon used here.
The Hmong people, especially the older ones are very difficult to deal with. They have their own ways and do not readily adapt. However, the younger generation do well with blending in
chop sticks, you could poke your eye out.
PS.The news makes it sound like he mowed 8 people down.He shot two right off the bat and stalked the other 6.

BTW, I see where some bank robbers use FULLY automatic weapons in an L.A. shootout with the cops just about every month! It's true! I always see it on PMSNBC; they must have a chopper in the air over there 24/7!
Oh, wait. It's the same shootout over and over and over again.
Uh, never mind.
Time to buy a few!
