I believe she was on prescription drugs, but I don't know which drugs they were. For all the good modern medicine offers, and I am part of this field, some practitioners and patients abuse prescription drugs. I understand, in this case, there had been Texas Child Protective Services seeing this woman for many previous child abuses with this same child. Need better acumen in that field. The woman who had seen her for abusing her children stated she was a victim of postpartum psychosis. I would feel better if this diagnosis was coming from a medical practitioner.

I'm in a religious line of work - and I can't help but think that priests or pastors would be more useful than doctors in cases like this. I don't know.
