To: Canadian Outrage

I agree totally! ;-)

I heard a bit of a discussion yesterday about how Geragos' delays are pushing the penalty deliberation closer and closer to the Christmas holidys. Ordinarily, this timing would benefit the guilty party, with a jury reluctant to recommend death and then go enjoy a holiday dinner. However, in this case the timing could harden the jury making them more apt to recommend death.

It will be hard for the jury to recommend life-in-prison, and then send Sharon home to decorate her tree without Laci and Conner present to enjoy it.

Interesting food for thought, and perhaps ANOTHER strike out for Geragos.

Hope everyone's recovering nicely from too much food, inclding Dev.

pinz, when Geragos gets his appeal request denied tomorrow morning, he will have no choice but to go ahead. This last week he will have HAD to get prepared for the penalty phase. Judge Delucchi I'm sure, will NOT allow any more delays.
