The Hmong for the most part have been dangerous and stupid hunters in California over the last two decades. They rarely use the right equipment and ignore any and all hunting rules. Lots of private land over the years has now been posted no hunting or trespassing because of them in many areas to a large extent to keep them out. Not that they were the main reason for the posting, but they greatly added to the list of idiots that didn't belong in the woods. We witnessed a group while pheasant hunting go into a cornfield with rifles and shotguns in multiple directions at once and minutes later someone ended up shot and wounded. Another friend who is in law enforcement had to arrest several for killing cattle during deer season and caught them in the field skinning a ranchers cow. In the early 80's on several deer hunting trips their was a Hmong behind every other tree with an AK or SKS rifle. My brother and I always hunt with a .44mag on are hip. There are many that have learned the rules and are decent folks, but most hunters I know barely can tolerate their presence.

Many of our own are probably back out there hunting again. I do in my heart believe this is very, very isolated and they'll all be fine, including your own later. It's all just too fresh yet. I will keep yours in my prayers for protection. Blessings.

Thank you. And prayers for all who venture out to destroy those Road Rats which are driving our car insurance rates upward.

My husband has been hunting with the same group since 1968. As my sons grew up, they were first allowed to go along without carrying a shotgun (no rifles allowed in Iowa for deer). Sometimes they had to stay in the pickup, but they were happy to be included in the hunt. Later, they were taken out, with only Dad as their hunting partner. Dad would 'drive' and the kid would post. As soon as Dad was convinced it was safe for the kid to hunt with the rest of the group without endangering anyone, the boys joined the big hunts.

Now all my sons are adults. They hunt with this same hunting party.

I have a grandson who is 6. He is showing tremendous interest. I won't be surprised if his Grandpa takes him out for a couple of hours, just to give him a feel of what it's all about. I'm sure by next year they will use him to move pickups and 4 wheelers to where they need them.

A fair percentage of Hmongs have had a tough time making the leap from their fairly primitive life back home...to modern life in the USA.

Think of a really primitive African tribe. The Hmong are the Laotian equivalent. They are isolated highland hillbillies. Probably very inbred since they are clan centered and engage in polygamy. Even here though it's outlawed. It's a mistake to keep bring them in here. It's insanity.

Could be. I'm sorry one of them couldn't get over their initial shock and put an end to this rampage before so many died.

The "conversion" takes about five minutes with a screw driver and has been done to every SKS that I have personally seen. Where I grew up they made great noise makers and coyote controllers. They are about as accurate as a Mini-14.

Been there, done that with those Road Rats. Unfortunately, someone else got the meat before I could get back to it from phoning the county patrol.

The amount of road kill up north is unbelievable - the deer has got to be thinned out. I'm in continual alert for them when hauling my camper around up there.

It looks as if the first guy to confront him survived? If so then this will take away the "I was in fear of my life" defense.

I have experienced some REAL ugly turf arguements in the woods over just this sort of thing. Like I said before, I dont hunt anymore because of how nasty it has got out there. I have seen guys try and post State and Federal land to keep others out as they figure this is their domain and nobody elses to hunt on.

This guy was on private land. I wonder if premed murder will be charged or not.
