President and Laura Bush are in Chile for the Asian-Pacific Economic Conference.
Most of us have likely heard of the "incident" with Bush's lead secret service agent in Chile, documented here, Bush comes to aid of Secret Service agent.
Diogenesis posted the photo sequence at #96 on that thread. As there are many other pictures of the APEC conference to put up today, I am providing the link, above, to his excellently-posted sequence of photos.

Great pictures, Gretchen. The President looks like such a direct and sincere human.
Is there a competition for national costumes? When do we host this again? I want those guys to all wear cowboy hats!
Great pics Gretchen. Thanks!
On Sept. 11, 1973, warplanes bombed the presidential palace where Allende had holed up and fired thousands of rounds into the building's three-foot-thick walls. But the building held and the standoff only ended when Allende shot himself with a submachine gun.
No word if any official meetings would take the leaders through that courtyard, where Allende ended his life and his presidency.
AP via Drudge. Just because President Bush is vying for all the attention doesn't mean that the left-wing AP reporters couldn't take time out to wax nostalgic about one of their greatest communist anti-heroes. To wit Salvador Allende another martyr of the McCarthyite CIA. Now, there was a real man. When he could no longer hold off the McCarthyite Horde he fell on his AK-47 with the boogey-man of the left Augusto Pinochet waiting in the wings. Ending the AP article with a commemoration of Allende, helped remove the bad taste in reporters' mouths from all the good press our genuinely heroic President Bush was recieving. Where's Ann Coulter at time like this.
The prez looks not too keep on wearing the traditional Chilean rug!
