The rules of engagement are totally different in wartime and in police matters.
I am dissapointed this is even an issue. The military needs to get a handle on the press in war zones.
The guy does not deserve a medal but I don't care if the guy was innocent or not. He knew exactly what to expect staying in a war zone in the first place. When are people going to figure this out. If it was your son who's side would you be on?

>>The case of the Marine shooting in Fallujah pits a young warrior in the clutch of terror and nanosecond judgment against the Monday-morning quarterbacking of theoretical second-guessers<<
This sentence sums up my feelings about the whole WMD discussion, too. And you can throw in a half-dozen other aspects about war-related issues (Tora Bora, troop size, first Fallujah confrontation, others).
There are nothing but Monday-morning QBs on the Left. (More like Wednesday-morning QBs.)

there is a site that has a petition which now has over 100,000 signatures of fellow Americans in support of this young soldier. I think it would be wonderful if people added their signatures and voices to send to the congress in support of this marine and all those fighting for the united states.
