Why do you suppose the agent has his right arm around the neck of the Chilean guy?

It looks like the Chile had pushed him and the Secret Service agent grabbed back for his own protection, etc ...

other way around, I think. I think one of the captions is mislabeled.

I'm assuming that the final pic is correct...the man standing slightly apart inside IS the USSS agent. His tie is silver/blue and he has a dark lanyard for his credentials.

The other guy in the "arm around the neck" picture has a yellow lanyard for his credentials. I'm thinking he's Chilean.

I wonder how may SS agents were held. The photo captions are not very helpful.

Well, things obviously got heated. The bottom line for our SS guys, I'm sure, is that they realized they were being prevented from accompanying Bush inside; therefore, the President had no SS security with him. Which, to an SS guy, is like asking him to commit suicide. NO Secret Service person assigned to protect the President is just going to give up and let the Prez walk away unguarded. The SS guys, if they have to, will fight to accomplish their mission.

It looks like this SS guy had to fight.
