I had heard about how the Bush's befriended their secret service people, but this is the first time I've seen it on film.

That wasn't friendship, IMO. That was loyalty.

Take a moment and think what a president sKerry would have done when faced with this scene.
If the past is a harbinger of future actions, sKerry would have turned tail and let the SS Agent fend for himself.

With Ter-reez-zah screaming "Fascist!" at the SS Agent.

Yeah, what Woofer said...

The likes of a Kerry or a Clinton would not even have acknowledged that the agent existed unless "that sonofabitch" had knocked them down!

I have a feeling that those "protecting" the Clintons see it as a job, those that covered Kerry are sighing in relief and those covering W and Co. see it as more of a calling.

Kerry would have had is people take a public poll first to see if he should offer help or just walk away!

It would have turned into an international mess. The SS agent would probably linger in a Chilean jail while diplomacy took its route or some such silliness.
