Fallujah holdouts wounded: Report
NDTV (India) ^ | 11/21/04

Posted on 11/20/2004 11:07:58 PM PST by LibWhacker

Insurgents still holding out in Fallujah are running low on ammunition and many of them are seriously wounded, Al-Arabiya television reported from the outskirts of the city.

The report, filmed in two segments in different locations, included a brief interview with one Iraqi fighter.

He said there were only about 100 foreign fighters in the city and the rest of those resisting the Americans were Iraqis.

"They say that they have run out of ammunition and that many of those who stayed inside are seriously wounded," Al-Arabiya correspondent Wail Essam said in his report yesterday.

The correspondent added that many fighters got away by swimming across the Euphrates River on the western side of the city.

However, Essam said many of the Iraqis who had left the city were still resisting by providing information on US positions in the city - presumably to guerrilla mortar crews outside the security cordon around Fallujah.

The second portion of the report, filmed in a darkened room, featured four fighters, their faces covered with checkered keffiyeh shawls, who appeared to be on the outskirts of the city.

One of the four said he was from Saudi Arabia and two others spoke Arabic with non-Iraqi accents. A fourth fighter could be seen in the clip but did not speak.

Those who did talk said they had been waiting to take part in suicide operations when American and Iraqi forces launched their attack on the city November 8. (AP)

Hope they're all seriously dead soon.

I dont know if there's a single "fact" in this report I don't have very serious doubts about. None of it sounds very probable.

Captured terrorists? I thought that the American media taught us that the United States military only kills.
A key difference between our conduct in this war and that of the enemy is that we imprison the enemy. They, on the other hand, torture and behead innocent civilians. The distinction is lost on the MSM.

The only good terrorist is a dead terrorist.

Low on Ammo and half dead? To paraphrase Seinfeld, "Yea, that's a shame."

LOL . . . Like Harry said, you've got to wonder about this article, in particular, the claim that a whole bunch of terrorists got away by swimming across the river. Admittedly, I'm a little old-fashioned, but if snipers weren't posted and machine gun nests weren't set up to prevent movement across the river, somebody wasn't doing their job!

These stupid bastards are coward. They do not wear uniforms, cover their faces and cower in dark places. Pathetic combatants for "Allah." These ass-breaths will never get their 72 fly-infected, leprocy virgins. Well... then again, that would be a good scenario.

The only good terrorist is a dead terrorist.

I'm with you on that. a three shot burst of .223 Pb is a good injection to bring 'em to the after-life in joining their promised 72 virgins.

I'm with you, 7.62! Take off the gloves. There is no such thing as winning the hearts and minds of these mad dogs.

I just wish we'd stop pussyfooting around and being all sensitive and touchy-feely about Muslim sensibilities. That's a losing game if I've ever heard one. We need to draw out people who are inclined to hate us and kill them, end of story . . . Summarily execute captured combatants who are caught out of uniform, as is our right under the rules of warfare, wrapping each in an old, smelly, bloody pigskin and shooting him right between the eyes. Everyone treats that suggestion like it were a joke. But it needs to become SOP. The Brits did it in the 19th century. It works. Mollycoddling them does not.

Not very good at it, are they? It's also very interesting that there were only 100 foreign fighters there, but the only ones interviewed were foreign.

Send in a couple cases of Coumadin and make sure these terrorists get their share.

Could we have spiked their water supply with it a couple of days before the attack? How's it hold up in solution?

Or maybe contaminate flour and tea shipments into the city ahead of the attack?

I like the idea if we could figure out some way to get lots of them to ingest a nice big dose of it just before the fighting started!
