At what point do the SS agents have to conclude that the Pesident is in danger because they are prevented from protecting him. They may have been seconds away from drawing their firearms.

Wouldn't that have been interesting. Worse than Bush 41 barfing on the Japanese diplomats.

I was thinking the exact same thing. They may have been moments away from drawing arms and 'forcing' the issue. But of course with the President standing nearby I'm sure they realized a shoot out was not in anybody's best interest at that time.
