I'm not really sure why we're in a public relations war with terrorists, or any enemy of our country. Let's just do what we have to.
I'll answer my own question. Liberalism and political correctness is why.

Moral:
To the "Hate America First" Leftists of the world, it's perfectly okay for terrorists to massacre harmless old women, but it's wrong for troops to kill those same murdering terrorists in a free fire combat zone. Remember, these are the same idiotic Leftists who think it's totally wrong to put convicted murderers to death but that it's perfectly okay to kill unborn babies.
These idiots look for ANY excuse to blast America. If need be, they'll make one up.
Clueless, useless idiots...the Left is 99% of the evil in the world.

You got it right. All this outrage and hand ringing over a SOB that wanted to kill as many people (Americans) as he could and then he gets what he had coming to him and the the outrage begins. The complaints are falling on deaf ears as far as I am concerned. He is were he belongs now. In a grave!

Mrs. Hassan was just a woman as far as the Arabs are concerned.
She would not have been allowed on the main floor in that mosque where the terrorists were holed up.

"forsaken in the greater cause of anti-Americanism."
Not just this. Once one understands that the double standard is that it is OK for muslims to kill anyone, in any way, as long as they believe they are doing the deeds in the cause of fighting infidels who are occupying a moslem land, then it all becomes clear.

Is the author related to either of the two more famous Novak writers (Robert or Michael)?

Who is Jane NOVAK? I'm impressed, and even more impressed that it was published in an ARAB paper. That is the most direct and cutting piece I have seen on the subject.

Americans themselves will demand punishment for him. I'm an American, and I'm deployed to operation Iraqi Freedom. I won't be demanding punishment for this marine. I hope he is not prosecuted.

And what about the poor Americans who were beheaded by Zarqawi? They were unarmed, tied, blindfolded and tortured mentally and physically before execution. Where was the outrage from the Islamic world, the MSM and the liberal media in Europe?
To: Ginifer
It is too perplexing to consider that Arabs expect a higher standard of humanity from Americans than they do from themselves. Well, I guess they know themselves best.
