"I think post # 186 nails you."
News/Activism threads are fair game, vanitys belong... well wherever they belong, I ignore them in most cases.
As far as Dean goes, if you feel that having a lunatic shouting Rush's name is equivalent to having a "devastating effect" it's your opinion.

You keep making statements that don't make any sense. For many dimocrats, Dean was an extremely important candidate. While you and I may agreee that he was a "lunatic, you cannot deny that he had great influence over many voters.
Your counter arguments are becoming weaker and weaker. First, you say Rush doesn't have any influence. Then when his influence is pointed out, you claim the person influenced is a "lunatic." You remind me of a person who has to keep changing his arguments to justify his position.
I'll be watching for you on the next Rush thread.

Dean was the Dem front runner at the time, so it had far more weight than if Kucinich or some other fringe candidate had been saying it.
But the Dems trying to overturn the Fairness Doctrine during the early nineties is the proof needed to illustrate Rush's impact on political thought. The Democrats were aiming their sights on him and no other conservative personality at the time. The liberals knew that he was destroying their monopoly on the free media. For that, he deserves a spot in the Conservative Hall of Fame.
