The heading says "election night" must be an old post...the latest update is here www.ohvotesuppression.blogspot.com it's a lefty sight but the data is valid
There are two postings of data on the Ohio election site:
preliminary results (match CNN)
http://www.sos.state.oh.us/sos/results/index.html
new results for select counties
http://election.sos.state.oh.us/results/RaceDetail.aspx?race=PP
I should add that these initial results look very good for GWB (as if it still matters.. haha) because provisional counts are basically matching the election night count. There had been talk in the Kerry campaign that provisionals could fall 80-90% for Kerry, given the different "demographics" of provisional voters.
People, what this shows is NO SURPRISES, and that's a very good thing. A few precincts have reported completing 1) their evaluation of what provisional ballots were valid and 2) how they voted. Despite being few in number, their results are utterly crushing. The provisionals are splitting the way the regular election day votes did. There is no huge bias for Kerry. Kerry voters were not disproportionate users of Provisional ballots. There is no way for Kerry to catch up. What appeared to be true November 3 when he surrendered, remains true.
It's over. It's truly over. Bush's lead is expanding in Ohio. The big Democrat counties have not reported yet, but the mountain they have to climb is now mathematically unclimbable. There is no miracle lurking for them in any sort of ballots, absentee, provisional or "spoiled". Nor in the courts. There is no evidence enough of their voters were even mildly obstructed from voting to make any difference at all. They spent all those millions of dollars and if there were long lines that they felt were a problem, they should have brought out coffee and donuts and porta-potties. They didn't. They are failures. All of them. They lost. They failed to deliver votes.
Bush won.
