I registered here only to say a few words about my late brother-in-law, sister and nephew.

Why, out all of the millions of web sites, chat rooms, and blogs on the 'Net, did you choose to come to FR and join just to post a remembrance of your brother-in-law? It seems rather suspicious to a few of us.
I think the Lib's would say, "We question the timing....."

OK, one last post.

I did a search for more news and information about Erich. I tried to register here after nearly crying at my computer back on Monday. It just took a while for the process to complete. This site came back on page 2 of the Google search for "erich wagar."

Any more questions?

Man it makes me dizzy just to look at that picture!

I don't see how a person can climb up on something that high and not be paralyzed in fear!

Or maybe its just me? :)

I can see how some of our comments may have been offensive to you, if you are indeed the b-i-l of the deceased.
Please understand that offending you personally was not our intention.

There are as many old base jumpers as there are free-base smokers.

You know, I'm sorry about the harshness. I'm still having a tough time dealing with the whole thing, especially since it's still the holiday season. As much as I hate to say it, it's nobody's fault but Erich's that he was killed. There is a BASE fatality list on the WWW, and just two years ago, another jumper was killed in basically the same way. He just liked to hum it low, and held on way past his planned delay time.

Erich had scared himself before. He'd been injured skydiving before (though every time he was, it was due to another diver's incompetence). Gretchen told me flat out that she knew this would happen someday. Erich just had no fear; he thought he had it all sewed up. It's really shitty and it plain sucks.

Hopefully I will meet him again someday.

"The only thing that surprises me is that a group of people who claim to be from a party built on "moral values" have reacted so callously and childishly to a tragic event that hits so close to home for me."

Try again troll. This ain't DU, you're registered as soon as you hit the submit button.

Hopefully I will meet him again someday.

Until that time he can compare notes with Rachel Corrie.

On Thursday, family and friends who gathered at Wagar's Brooklyn Park home to support his wife, Gretchen, and toddler son, Max, declined to talk about him.

How many words were in Max's vocabulary anyway?

Many words. He's on the fast track to attending Kindergarten a year early. He goes to preschool three days a week. He even forms sentences and reads.

Max may be a smart kid, but it's not easy to explain death to a 3-year-old. He knows his dad is gone, but probably doesn't understand that he's not coming back. All in due time.

I registered on Monday. I got the confirmation email this morning. Hotmail has been down off and on recently, and I don't use any serious email addresses for internet shenanigans like these.

Hotmail's been working fine for me. Shenanigans. OK.

I can't explain why it took so long. Call MSN and ask them for me. I keep getting the "server too busy" message.

I say shenanigans because this is non-productive time for me. There is nothing else to do right now and it's 28 degrees out. Furthermore, I already acknowledged that this was more than likely a wasted venture into the feeble world of internet arguing. Lighten up. I'm in a better mood now.

One of the hall-marks of our necro-troll is that he spends all his time finding every possible article on the victim and collecting every bit of info and trying to "impress" us with his "inside" knowledge. I turned all that information such as Mom's name, etc. on Google searches.

However, I doubt that if you were a true relative, you'd bother giving a website full of people who thinks your brother was a moron so much "personal" info.

"I registered on Monday."

Seems to me if you were that upset you'd check the clendar and see that the 7th was Tuesday.
