Good news for conservatives. The two that stand out to me are Shelby Steele and Hilton Kramer. It's wonderful that a conservative black scholar (Steele) and a conservative art critic (Kramer) get such recognition. Kramer is a refreshing art mind in an environment full of the wacko leftist political artists.

Kramer's most recent book, The Twilight of the Intellectuals: Culture and Politics in the Era of the Cold War, was published in 1999...good book - I'm just about through it - Kramer skewers the wacko leftists but good - well-deserved award......
