This is a site dedicated to pacifism and related to the work of Kevin Sites. For a good laugh look at what they think constitutes art. You might also wish to leave your Thanksgiving wishes to the MSM's man of the hour.

I agree you can leave him an email there but I don't see any forum as at the other site.

Do you find anything on his personal site that is anti-American? I don't.

If you feel that way, leave him best wishes. My sympathies are with the Marine who was by his side.

My sympathy is with all three. The Marine AND Sites for being crucified unjustly as well as the man who was shot.

It's all about context. He violated the trust that group of Marines had in him. That makes him very much a Judas in my book. It's like going out with some fellow workers at lunch. One of the guys gripes about the boss. You return to work and immediately report the conversation to your boss. By the way, this makes you look good to the boss while your co-worker gets fired.

What trust did he violate? Please tell me. He was there as a journalist to record/report on the war. He reported what he saw. Good for him, that is his job.

Correct me if I am wrong, but you are saying that the Marine did something wrong and Sites reported it. If you are going to condemn Sites, then you must think what the Marine did was wrong. I completely disagree. If I was in the Marine's boots, I would have probably done the same thing and if I was in Sites' boots, I would have done the same thing too. This whole thing is a complete non-issue.

Very cool Blog. If some of the morons bad-mouthing this guy would read his stuff they might be remided more of Ernie Pyle than Peter Arnette

I couldn't agree more. Reading through his blog he really seems like a good guy, trying to report on the war from an independent viewpoint. He certainly never villifies the marines, and even in this case he was the first to say that the incident shouldn't be taken at face value.

I have a gut feeling that Sites feels horrible about the incident and just wants it to go away as much as anyone else.

Sites should have turned his footage over to military authorities if he felt a crime had been committed and not gone public with it.

Why do you assume Sites thought a crime had been committed? Another possible scenario is Sites did not think any crime had been committed and that the Marine did nothing wrong. If that is the case, there is no reason he should not have released the film. Is Sites on record, before the media blew up the story, saying that the Marine was wrong?
