Christie not running for governor in 2005
US Attorney Christopher Christie has decided not to seek the Republican nomination for governor in 2005.

Well, first impression . . . smart move on his part. Good news for Doug Forrester, as they'd both be competing for the same types of primary voter -- right of center but not Schundler-ite. Good news for Corzine too. Bad news for all Hudson County politicians since they have four more years of worrying about being indicted.

I had figured that if president bush would have lost then Christie would have thrown his hat in the race for governor.
Bush won and Christie is on a roll with government corruption on all levels in NJ, fighting the drug dealers and street gangs. He'd be crazy to leave his post now. There's so much more to accomplish.
