"Old Europe doesn't have much to teach us, Fritzl."

Hmmm, maybe how to be polite, Yankl?

"As for France, they are America's oldest enemy going back to the French and Indian Wars of our colonial period."

In this case, shouldn`t the US hate & oppose
the British Empire even more?

Just following your logic...

No Fritzl, after we reached a meeting of the minds in the War of 1812, the Brits have been our allies.

The French have always been a pain in the ass.

Of course, we can always count on the French when they need us.

May I here say that I, for one, do not hate Germany nor France, nor their people. I do, however, believe most of the anti-American sentiment from Europeans is the result of biased media coverage, both theirs and ours. Also, I would probably be anti-American if I had only the generally narcissistic, elitist snobbery of American tourists from which to judge.

I hope that you have, by reading at FR, learned that we are not interested in taking over the world, nor are we voraciously Iraq's oil for ourselves. We ARE passionate about defending our country and our most closely held beliefs from all enemies, internal and external.

Thank you for hanging out at FR. :)
