evolution is a belief that species evolve to become other specieds. (there is no proof of this, but that is besides the point.) evolution states that man evolved from some other form of animal; the bible states that man was created in god's own image, without going through any "interim" stages. that therein lies the incompatibility.
001:001 In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth.
001:002 And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters.
And so on with the whales and the fishes and then the animals and finally man. Sounds like evolution to me!
I believe the Bible says man was created in God's image. Nowhere does it say that man was created in God's image without the need for any intermediaries. You added that part to support your argument. There is no mention that there were or were not intermediaries.
