At the intersection of Rt69 and Rt666 the road gets real kinky.

Well, it fooled me. "Hoosier Gazette" sounded like a real source.

“Every time I have been out in the public with an ‘I-69’ button on my lapel, teenagers point and snicker at it.

Oh my!

Hmmm... fooled me too.  Although, as everyone knows, I don't EVER bother to read the article.

I used to live in Indiana right by Highway 69. It was a popular thing among people who saw the sexual connection to steal highway signs for...I don't know, whatever they planned to do with them.

One year when I was a kid in our tiny town (well it was tiny then) of Fishers, Indiana (located at the junction of Hwy 37 and Hwy 69) someone decided to open a topless bar right in the middle of town. And guess what they called the place... Junction 69. It was closed down within 6 months. Ah, memories.

I used to live right off an exit of I-69 in my young and
single days...made for a great schlocky pickup line!

(the exit was Davison, Michigan...Michael Moore's hometown...so the Interstate number designation was the least of their problems!)

Interstate 69 takes you straight to Canada....is there some irony there?

No doubt as soon as they change it some perv-o will invent a new activity and dub it a "63"!

Silly nonsense. Numbers mean nothing, except in someone's dirty mind.
