Who is funding these ACLU barbarians?

I think they are privately funded by members.

The poster in reply #22 seems to think they are tax payer funded.

Apparently they make a lot of their money by filing cases like the ones against public displays of the ten commandments. Or like the boy scout case in san diego where the city council rolled over and handed them around $1 million.

You know there are these Ten Commandment monuments everywhere. And they’re probably 10,000 monuments or plaques that are in public buildings or public parks around the country. There’s a pot of gold sitting under each one, which the ACLU is going after.

There is a court law passed during Watergate era that allows them to collect attorneys’ fees for these cases for these Ten Commandment and pledge cases, and because they’re claiming they have a civil right not to see the Ten Commandments, a civil right not to hear the word “God” in the pledge of allegiance.
