I like your thought. I was thinking there is a need for the "forensics" types to reconstruct the ape - first with a lot of fur / hair and secondly after a nice shave.

Show me a complete skelletal remain of ANY TRANSITIONAL STAGE from one species to the next. You should be able to form at least ONE complete skeleton from the trillions upon trillions upon trillions of skeletal remains that must have existed from these billions upon billions upon billions upon billions of "missing links" that evolved through millions upon millions upon millions upon millions of years. YOU DON'T HAVE EVEN ONE? Hmmmm. Looks like you swallowed a myth hook line and sinker. You want to see one? Do you really? What difference would it make to you? It should make a tremendous difference, as you boldly claim that there are none. But if I showed you one, you wouldn't change your opinions, would you? Or maybe you would. Please respond before I present the evidence, so I'll know whether I'd be wasting my time.

Yes, not wishing to appear unreasonable, I will allow you to present me with a complete skeleton. FedEx next-day preferred. No drawings or photographs, please.
I will watch it for a few days and if it morphs into something utterly different, then it's a transitional. You can't say I'm not being reasonable now, can you?

I will allow you to present me with a complete skeleton. I have only one skeleton, and right now I'm using it. But upon my demise, my spirit will no longer require these bones, so you may bid for them.

You may omit the skeleton if your gall bladder is working OK.

Human and chimp DNA are over 99% identical. Just like a Ford and Chevy are 99% identical
When the DNA nucleotides (C,G,A,T) line up that close between human and chimps, I'll buy into that's a valid claim.
BTW, human DNA has at least 3,000,000,000 nucleotides in sequence.
Good luck!

Gone for the evening. If there's an appropriate response, I'll post the transitionals tomorrow.

Great! But I feel sorry for the ape!

So far,
am1ru1-2, you have disappointed me. I was hoping for a response, something like:
"Thank you for your kind offer. Yes, I would very much like to see evidence of a transitional fossil. All my life I've been told that no such evidence exists. If I've been wrong about this, I welcome the opportunity to learn, and to correct my understanding, and to re-evaluate my sources of information."
However, up to now you're giving the impression of being someone who just shows up, posts a few standard, cut-and-paste nonsense paragraphs from one of those creationist websites, and then runs away. Surely you're better than that! Come on, ask for the evidence, and have the intellectual fortitude to say that evidence will affect your conclusions -- expecially the "conclusion" that there isn't any evidence.

Just trying to save you some embarrasment... You do know that radiocarbon dating, because of the relatively short half-life of carbon-14, is useful in dating objects that have ages in the thousands of years. While this may be useful in dating a very few relatively young fossil specimens, for the majority of them radiocarbon dating is completely useless. Other radioisotopes with longer half-lives must be used. Furthermore, when the ages obtained from different radioisotopes are compared, they are found to be (within the experimental uncertainty) identical.

I am curious, what are your opinions regarding the theories expressed by Cremo and Thompson in Forbidden Archeology: The Hidden History of the Human Race?

Now that is a parallel I have never seen drawn before! Have you seen this thread:
The Hidden History Of Men (Anthropology)? It regards chromosomal anthropology, specifically following the Y-chromosome. A quick quote:
"The Y chromosome in every man on Earth today is thought to be more than 99.99 percent the same as the one carried by a common ancestor who lived 50,000 or 60,000 years ago." I predict that as more non-morphological studies are performed, the theory of evolution will undergo a tremendous overhaul and only the most Darwinian of those in the field will stick to the original mind-set. We'll see :-)

So, continue to believe these lies because it's the only way you can justify your licentious lifestyle. That's quite a slanderous statement. Care to provide any evidence or can we just assume that you're a liar?

Oh please, please, please, show me a comlete skeleton of these undiseased Neandrethals that you speak of. The Smithsonian has some pretty good ones, but I'll admit that they're not complete skeletons.
This is typical creationist moving the goalposts.
Oh, and paragraphs are your friends.

what are your opinions regarding the theories expressed by Cremo and Thompson in Forbidden Archeology: The Hidden History of the Human Race? Not familiar with it. I looked up the book at Amazon, found some glowing reviews (as if by the authors themselves) and some really scathing reviews. At this point I have no opinion.

Just like a Ford and Chevy are 99% identical You take the same class Chevy and ford pick up truck, break then down part by part.
You will have, by in large, the same type part, exact some function, even close specs resemblance, same material for every component of the vehicle.
Take one critical part and interchange them, you have a non functioning vehicle.
Your right, the Darwinians assume so much with so little evidence, it truly is almost a faith based belief system.
As we unwind the human DNA puzzle, it will be revolutionary, except for the true believers who will have to drink their kool-aid straight to say the things they proclaim with a straight face.
