Logic-challenged idiots do tend to follow you around, don't they, Xenalyte?

The poster you're reading is excepted of course. :)

Isn't it amazing the double standard?

We have a judge in my area, and she gives 30 days in county jail, minimum, for a 1st time DUI offense. Funny thing is, she was busted twice herself, in 2 different cities, and the whole thing just went away.

90 days and killed 2 people. What a joke. :(

The Florida Highway Patrol did botch the investigation. HOWEVER, they CLAIM they have made changes to stop the problem.

Keep in mind Broward County is where a DUI taskforce officer was caught lying on a police report to exact revenge on a local police chief. The result was most of his dui cases being similarly downfiled, plead out for non-dui charges, or just dropped.

Part of the problem in this case was a result of the FBI agent flashing his ID to divert attention from himself. Dead men tell no tails.

Just be thankful that justice NOT served is so abnormal that it is news, and not the other way around. This guy ditched the system. It's terrible, but rare.

I wonder if the FBI intimidated the FHP so much the latter made mistakes under the pressure.

I don't think that's what happened. Initially, the FHP concluded that the dead brothers' vehicle had been going in the wrong direction on the interstate. Since the dead guys were black and the FBI guy was white, the black community was then up in arms, screaming racism and whatnot about the FHP's conclusion. Sometime after the accusations of racism, the FHP changed its findings. Ultimately, the jury wasn't sure whether it was the dead guys or the agent who had been driving in the wrong direction, so the jury had to acquit.
