Fallujah, Iraq (Nov. 18, 2004) -- FALLUJAH, Iraq--Marines of Company K, 3rd Battalion, 1st Marine Regiment, assaulted a mosque recently, in Fallujah during Operation Al Fajr; by a tactical assault with air strikes and artillery fire.

The Mosque was one storage facility for weapons used by insurgents to assault United States forces.

“Our primary mission as a company was to take over the Mosque,” said Staff Sgt. Barto Gueta, 2nd squad, 2nd Platoon K/3/1. “It was suspected of being a large weapons cache. So we had to take it out.”

A combination of air strikes and artillery, followed by a dismounted tactical assault by the company, resulted in mission accomplishment.

The company found weapons that posed a threat.

“We did find small arms rounds along with some rocket propelled grenades,” said Gueta.

The Marines in the company were accredited for the mission’s success.

“The Marines did an outstanding job,” said Gueta. “The battalion expected us to get there in 48 hours, we did it in 24.”

A Marine from the company commented on the importance of his fellow Marines in the battle.

“The most difficult part of war is when you sit down and reflect on the Marines that have been injured or killed,” said Sgt. Joseph Gary, 2nd squad team leader, 2nd Platoon, K/3/1. “But at the same time it’s those Marines and sailors to your left and right that drive me to keep going. What ever it takes we will get it done together.”

The Marines also celebrated the 229th Marine Corps birthday by greeting each other. Whether it was a pat on the back or words of encouragement.

“There is no other way or place I’d rather celebrate a Marine Corps birthday, except in a combat zone, with my Marines,” said Gueta. “It was great.”

The 2nd squad leader commented on upcoming missions for the company.

“Future missions include clearing zones,” said Sgt. Alexander Munoz, 2nd squad leader, 2nd Platoon, K/3/1. “Also, finding weapon caches and killing any insurgents that we come across.”

Ah, the peace loving religion of Islam. Can you imagine the MSM's reaction if churches or synagogues were hiding munitions for terrorists? There would be no end.

"So we had to take it out." "A combination of air strikes and artillery, followed by a dismounted tactical assault by the company, resulted in mission accomplishment."
"The Marines did an outstanding job."

Lather, rinse, repeat.

Could the US finally 'get it??'

Outstanding! Get rid of Political Correctness, a mosque that holds ammo is a munitions dump, not a holy site.

Next...round up and put-to-trial any Islamic Imam who advocates hate or anti-American activity. Target the Imams, they're the source of this Islamic evil.
