I don't think he'll be rejected as chair of that committee. Hatch put his stamp of approval on Specter yesterday and that pretty well means that hatch + all the democrats + Specter will vote for Specter. If the division is 11-8, then that gives specter 10 votes and a win.
My senator DeWine is a Rino and he's on the committee. I'm not sure about the other members, but I think the others might be pretty solid.

I know he is gona get it but I am not going to give up.
My senator Larry Craig is not a RINO, and was leaning against Specter, (I am positive) but when I called the office a couple days ago was told in somewhat of a rude way: "For your information, Karl Rove is supporting Specter"
I am going to call back again right now and see what they say.
What I want to know is could those liberal pro-abort republicans be a big enough threat to make a difference?
Having the right to kill babies is as sacred to them as it is to the pro-abort democrats.

It does not work that way. Only Republicans on the committee vote for the chair.
