They showed their hand at the Rat convention, which was a theatre of remarkably phony "moderation." The problem was that the MSM - normally Rat allies - couldn't stop commenting about the scrubbed speeches, the tame lineup of speakers, the muted voices of Rat "outrage".

That, and the memorable Thune/Dachle appearance on Meet The Press, where Thune did a fine job exposing Daschle's immense hypocrisy, voting on the left while campaigning on the right. I think even Daschle was intimidated by Thune's stark honesty.

The Democratic Party's political philosphy is very simple. Convince 51% of the electorate to somehow vote for them by saying anything. Once in office do as your special interest groups dictate. When running for re-election, repeat the actions required to get that 51% again. Thus John Kerry tried to pass himself off as a war hero who would be more hawkish on the WOT than President Bush, went bird shooting and regaled us with stories of crawling on his belly deer hunting to show what a supporter of the 2ND Amendment he was, stated that he believes life begins at conception despite a voting record consistently supporting abortion rights and so on and so on. He was avidly supported in this by the MSM. Fortunately in a time of war and a new media a-borning, this failed.

the way the elections were portrayed, we didn't know who to vote for. all Christian's voted for bush. we looked at it this way... no we don't like the results of bush's previous term, but what was the alternative? Kerry. Well, the whole scandal of bush knowing what to do on terrorism, and Kerry being speechless was all over the American news the day before election. Who would you vote for if you were America's youth? We didn't know who to vote for... So some didn't vote (me) and some voted for the American dream - not bush, open to advise.

Carville is correct. Since the advent of the political machine, that core apparatus which resembles a powerful and corrupt union in every way, parties have mainly existed to get people elected for the purpose of maintaining and expanding their own power. It used to be, in innocent days long past, parties were formed when like-minded people banded together to help one another get elected in order to advance an agenda, they since have since put the cart before the horse, first getting people elected, then coercing them into a common agenda that revolves around the maintainance of power once there. In a two party system of majority rule, there is no room for idealism. For a party to survive, it must constantly feed, taking any scraps it can get.

I would say that Carville's comments were not naive, but quite the contrary. They revealed a realist understanding of the cynical nature of politics today.

Also, we must all work diligently in the coming months to convince “progressives” that the Democratic Party has let them down. They must abandon the party. Their only recourse is to join and work for the Green Party moving forward. I may even register as a Green Party member to swell their voter registration rolls. Divide and conquer.

Begin with putting all known “progressives” in your sphere of influence on the Green Party mail list from their website. Great fun. Start inundating them with information now.

Last night while watching Hannity and Bones, Ny ears began to burn when Bob Beckel, the Dummo strategist referred to his belief in God and in his Christian Faith.

I almost choked on my coffee!! Never, in the years and the many times I have heard this man speak, can I recall even once this man ever mentioning God or any refernce to God.

Their insincerity and just plain phony comitment to a religion or God is so obvious it stinks. These people have been away from God for so long, if they ever had been near him, they need to sincerely repent and it will show, other wise they will stink.

The problem with the Dummycrats is they don't realize "saying it" is not the same as "believing it". It's funny they've never picked up on the idea that the country is conservative.

But they sure fell all over themselves after the primaries to appear to move to the center. If you change your "style" while running, then you'll do anything while in office. The vast majority of Americans vote for substance, not party. And if the dummycrats can't seem to grab on to this. Tough!

Hey, I'm with you there. But I know where the blame squarely lies -- at the feet of obstructionist, politically calculating Senate Democrats. This is why Tom Daschle lost and Bush won.

Bush certainly made mistakes. He tried too hard to reach out to Democrats who refused to take his hand. He tried to be a uniter, but the Democrats, who would not even meet him part of the way, hyprotically accused him of being a divider.

He gave too many concessions to the Democrats after the close election of 2000, putting in place a weak Democrat friendly cabinet (with the bold exception of Rumsfeld and Ashcroft), and worst of all, left abyssmal Clinton holdovers in place, in key areas that were in need of serious reform and purging.

Bush has recognized his mistakes, and he has already gone to great lengths to correct them in the wake of his re-election. The CIA will be cleaned out, finally. Perhaps the State Department at long last as well. This year's Bush model has been retooled and turbo-charged. We will see a no nonsense, no compromised partisan fighter who will not accept watered down Democrat compromise. And now that he's gotten the majority he needs, don't expect him to accept much Republican pork either. This Bush doesn't need to kiss any more ass, instead, expect him to kick it.

W2.0 is going to be one hell of a ride.

Sometimes you have to go with your 'best' option -if gut feel is all you have, go with gut feel and vote --next time vote. To be effective the key is to be able to make decisions and corrections as necessary -indecision -even nuanced is not a leadership trait -it may be a trait of a senator from Massachusetts but not a President
