I've made my point, and some agree. My hope is that ALL conservatives AND Republicans take a serious look at the direction the country is heading.
Just as the DemocRAT party is losing its way, mired between the Jimmy Carter/Michael Moore wing and the Zel Miller/Joe Lieberman wing, so too is the GOP.
Some conservatives/Republicans are willing to expand government so long as we do it with low taxes and a large debt. Some are willing to overlook the illegal immigration problem.
Some seem to want to amend the Constitution to allow Arnold to run. Some seem to support Rudy Giuliani. Others would prefer a Buchanan/Tancredo/Ron Paul type Constitutionalist.
Debates like this one are important, and I think they must happen now. I don't simply criticize somebody called a Democrat and worship somebody called a Republican.
Not to mention, I think that discussing President Bush's comments at the library ceremony today ARE on topic. Perhaps I am wrong, not being overly experienced in the longstanding FR etiquette, but like I said. My point has been made. Some people think the GOP can do no wrong, and some do not.
There will come a time soon when there will be nobody to blame for the mess our republic is in but the Republican party. The 90's will be a distant memory. The GOP will have held the house for 14 years and the White House for 8.
No one here does. Don't get me started on our very own Governor.....
Not to mention, I think that discussing President Bush's comments at the library ceremony today ARE on topic.
Correct. The comments about his comments today ARE on topic.
Thank you. You raise some important points. Regards-
