Guess I'm just a bit touchy today! Thanks for the reminders. I just cringe when I hear people say (like on the top of the hour news bites) that Clintoon was the bestest most wonderfulest president ever! I could just gag.
If it makes you feel any better, I believe that, in the fullness of time, William Jefferson Clinton will be little more than a footnote in history. Truly significant presidencies (or world leaders) are not common. By "significant," I mean leadership, for good or ill, that affected not only the president's time, but the course of history for all time. In the way I mean it, only Washington, Jefferson, Lincoln, Wilson, FDR, Truman, Reagan and, now, GWB were/are significant presidents.
