12 Area Businesses Raided By Joint Terrorism Task Force
SEATTLE - Police and federal agents with an anti-terrorism task force arrested several people in south Seattle Thursday.
KOMO 4 News was at one location in the 7800 block of Rainier Avenue South where officers raided a barber shop and seized a computer and other possible evidence. Sources tell KOMO 4 News the building was one of 12 where search warrants were served as part of an ongoing investigation of the joint-terrorism task force.
We don't know if any arrests have been made at that location, but we do know that arrests were made elsewhere.
A search warrant issued by a King County judge said agents were looking for training manuals instructing fighting, shooting, assaulting or killing and any information of children training for urban warfare and the identity of possible witnesses and information confirming identity theft.
The U.S. Attorney's office says more papers will be made public Thursday afternoon.
