Take the time an re-read the article again. The quake is in a region along a plate boundary where there have historically been very large earthquakes. Nothing unusual at all.

Do we still have any TM'ers believing that nukes and ammo of the sort are being tested underground?

I'm a professional geologist, I think I can answer this. There have been no underground nuke tests since Pakistan and India a few years ago. To get a seismic measurement from a nuke test to register at 8.2 would be a HUGE nuke. If this occured in the open ocean, the size of any explosion would have to almost approach that of a meteor impact because of the lack of coupling between the blast and crust. The article is accurate, it is a natural event.

Okay. Thanks, again anything a tad out of the ordinary is pushing my buttons these days. I'm just glad it wasn't near land.
