While we're at it, I had a dream about a month before the GOP convention where I saw a number of AQ coming down from a snow-covered mountain under the skin of an elephant. They trekked down into a rocky gulley typical of the Afghan ranges and started following a riverbed. At first I thought it was a warning of some kind of infiltration into the convention, but that never came to pass, thank God.
I don't know what was in this guy's mind or even if he knew it was glued inside his shoe.

JAKARTA, Dec. 21 (Xinhuanet) -- Indonesian Muslim Cleric Abu Bakar Ba'ashir had delivered edicts from Osama Bin Laden to kill citizens of the United States and its allies in Indonesia, a witness said on Tuesday.
"Ba'ashir had delivered the edicts," said witness Nassir Bin Abbas to Indonesian court session here.
He said "Osama bin Laden urges Muslims around the world to kill American and its allies civilians."
Abbas said that Ba'ashir was head of the Jemaah Islamiyah (JI),a militant group seen as the Southeast Asian arm of al Qaeda.

Santa Cleared to Fly in U.S. Airspace

WASHINGTON, D.C. — Federal safety officials have given Santa Claus (search) the go-ahead to fly his sleigh on Christmas Eve.
Transportation Secretary Norman Mineta (search) said Wednesday he knows how important the flight is to "good little girls and good little boys all around the world."
Mineta says the government asked for feedback from the public on Santa's flight application. He calls the response "overwhelming" -- millions of letters from children and even a few from what he calls "Santa scholars." One letter vouches for Santa as a "right jolly old elf."
Special red and green teams from the Federal Aviation Administration (search) have inspected Santa's reindeer-guided sleigh. It's been heavily modified to allow for round-the-world flights in a single night. That's what allows Santa to post fast delivery times year after year.
Santa promised his route won't interfere with air traffic.

There was a big controversy several years ago about the possibility of an LNG terminal in Hampton Roads. I can't imagine one being approved for an area like Boston.
