Media to run Marine shooting video, but run one photo from Fallujah hostage slaughterhouse

"In the age of mass media and instant news, if we don't see images of something how long will our memories of it last? Our troops fighting in Fallujah have reportedly discovered several slaughterhouses--places where terrorists killed innocent civilians in brutal, disgusting fashion--around the city. But have you seen any pictures of those slaughterhouses? I haven't, and I think it's important that we do. We need to see what our enemy has been doing that led to the fighting there. We need to see why the Marines needed to be sent into that hellhole. The terrorist butcheries are part of why we're fighting there.

Let's take a walk around the media, in vain search of pictures of the Fallujah slaughterhouses. Here's a story about them, but what picture accompanies it? An unflattering shot of Iraqi PM Allawi."

I'm not usually one to post blogs, but he makes some excellent points.

For those who missed it earlier, this thread has been sent to someone in the Marine Public Relations office with whom I spoke earlier today. He will hopefully be able to foward it to the Marine's family.

No pictures. No story. The MSM has become all too obvious all of a sudden.

the DoD needs to publish the slaughter house videos themselves.
***k the MSM ! They should film every detail and make
a genuine documentary out of it and then offer it for release.
If the MSM didn't bite then , they can run it on Pentagon TV
and it will cause such a stir that the MSM will be forced to
show interest after public demand.

There has got to be a way to circumvent these MSM dweeds.

I agree, these stories with no pictures are not the same as with pictures. A warning to the watcher is appropriate but that should be sufficient.

They always go to great effort to show our sons and daughters in the worst light. This is the same tactic used during Vietnam. This is BS and needs to stopped.

It is the mission of the main stream media to do any thing and every thing taht will undermine the morale of the Armed Forces that are fighting the murderers.

Anythng they can do that will cause the troops to lose confidence in their leaders, their mission, and their comrads in arms, they will do.

The main stream media is the sworn wnemy of everything that is good and decent.

The murders are their allies. The American armed Forces are their enemy.

The sooner the Armed Forces and decent people face up o this the better off they will be.

It is very easy to lock-out channels (Biased news channels) if you have cable tv, and i'm sure many others can be lock-out as well! How 'bout we start boycotting them?

"You think Foxnews is part of the liberal media establishment?? Thats news to me."

They have been since at least 2000 when they tried to give FL to Gore.

Now ask yourself

Why did they not ask Kerry why he didn't sign Form 180?

And why didn't they run any stories about Kerry's REAL discharge.

Or about his trip(s) to Paris to meet with the VC?

"the DoD needs to publish the slaughter house videos themselves."

That would have to come from the President.

The military side of the DOD is not permitted to get involved in politics, and the perfumed princes would never permit such a risk to their precious careers.

At the top of the civilian side of DOD, of course, is SECDEF, who would be wrong to act against the intentions of the President.

Either Dub does it, or the private citizens do it, or it doesn't get done.

Speaking of private citizens, if there are any fabulously wealthy American conservatives, and I confess I don't know whether there are or not, they are in gross dereliction of an absolute moral duty.

Oh, if I only had the money to buy the NY Times...

We're the MSM now. Were you referring to the Dinosaur media, which still thinks it's the MSM?

The answer depends on who you are and what you're made of. Do you see any images of 9/11 on TV? Have you forgotten it? The media REALLY thinks the average Joe & Jane American are IDIOTS.

No liberal media establishment that I know of would have the prime time line up that fox news has presented. I mean come on just because they don't present every piece of information that you think should be presented does not mean they are liberal. Foxnews has also made people like Hannity, Cavuto, and Gibson house hold names, what sort of liberal establishment would ever in their right mind do that. None that I know of.
