When you consider the fact that he isn't making any movies while in office and his wife is no longer working, my guess is that the Scwarzeneggers are giving up at least $10 million a year in income while he is in office. Now I realize that many politicians take pay cuts to serve, there is absolutely no reason that a state the size of California doesn't have a governor's mansion. Now the left is blaming him for not paying more than he wanted to pay (with his own money), for a house that the state government was supposed to have bought over thirty years ago.
I think the governator could rent the biggest house in Sacramento without much of a dent in his budget.

The thing is Arnold still has a sizeable income coming in from investments, movie residuals, etc.. He's worth over $500 Million bucks I think he can pay all of the hotel bills without any problems. I just don't see why there has to be some foundation created to pay the Hotel bill.

Arnold Gropenator isn't giving up ten cents to be pseudo-governor of California. His movie career was OVER. There wasn't a single studio in Hollywood that would approve him for ANY movie because his last several films were expensive bombs. And I think I know more about this than most of you loungers on this forum - I am a production executive at one of the top five movie studios in Hollywood. All of us know Arnie only went into politics because his movie career is seriously over. BTW, how interesting that all of you Republicans are not at all bothered by extravagant waste when it's one of YOURS doing the wasting. Hypocrite seems like such an understatement.
