A 14 year old boy died on Thursday, November 11th, after having received 85 lashes; according to the ruling of the Mullah judge of the public circuit court in the town of Sanandadj he was guilty of breaking his fast during the month of Ramadan.
The Kurdish site Rojeh´heh Lât reports that the young man´s identity has not been disclosed. He was scheduled for burial on Saturday, November 13th (after 3 days at the local morgue), in the cemetery of Beheshteh Mohammadi in Sanandadj. However due to the public´s realization of the events surrounding the boy´s circumstances the cemetery was stormed [in protest] and his burial did not take place.
According to informed sources, supervisors have instructed that the burial take place in the presence of his closest relatives, surveyed by security forces.
"The Iranian Mullahs are 7th Century savages and need to be annihilated."
Who are very, very close to having nukes.
This is totally disgusting! Who turned him in - probably his family.
On the other hand there are a few muslim freepers who often bring this stuff to our attention. Too bad they aren't ruling in the islamic world.
My God.
85 is nothing.
You get 100 lashes for watching banned reruns of Three's Company.
oh, and BTW, not that the "christian parents" who wanted to sacrifice their children were ARRESTED, and that those who flogged the little boy were doing so as a sanctioned punishment from the Mullahs. The ONLY difference?
The behavior of the "Christians" you're referring to is not condoned and encouraged by our society. This young man was beaten to death at the behest of an Iranian court. And I bet you know darned well that there is a difference, but it isn't convenient for you to acknowledge it.
Sad. Pathetic. Sick.

And you just showed up today (wander1234 11-Nov-2004) so you could contribute this crap? Go away.
You don't know me, Newbie. Go back to DU where your comments and stereotypes of conservatives will be more appreciated.
If God is the Judge, these evil Mullahs are the ones who are going to have a lot more explaining to do on Judgement Day.
That was fast. I didn't even get a whiff of ozone. I wish they'd stick around a little so we can play with their smoking corpses.
Damn those SOB's!
And after that, I'm sure rather will do a big expose on 60 minutes! Oh wait, they fired the producer that would have brought this to the forefront! Hahahaha.
Very Scary thoughts.
,,, can't hear them. It must be lunch time.
And why are our tax dollars, and american lives being wasted on these sub-humans?
waiting for the ACLU lovers to post saying "see, this is what happens with an Ashcroft in government"
but I see he already posted...
no, this is what happens with state enforced religion:
IE every muslim nation with any organized government.
Are you paying attention, Western Europeans? You too could be living under the shariah in a matter of decades.
Several years ago, we were in Egypt and Turkey during Ramadan.
Our tour guides were Muslim and very carefully explained that during the day, they would assure that we had plenty of drinks and snacks. When we asked how they managed to get along all day without drinks and food, they explained that it is their choice to do so. If they WANTED, they could take a drink or food and their failing that day would be between them and Allah to work out...perhaps an extra day of fasting at some future point.
For children under 18 years, Ramadan is totally up to them and the parents they told us. Small children and new mothers nursing are exempt.
Granted this was in more "developed" countries than Iran...but you get the point: this is NOT the way it is supposed to be. Much like meatless Fridays for Catholics during Lent, you do it, sometimes you forget and it's between you and Him...you don't get lashed by your priest on Sunday...
Islam, the religion of pieces when not properly observed...just horrible when abused!!
